Walao Eh~~~

Walao Eh~~~ Why like that?

Walao Eh~~~ The number of people committed suicide is more than the COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia.

'Walao Eh' is a Malaysian/Singaporean slang meaning OMG and used to describe the feeling of surprise or disbelief. Many Chinese Malaysian learned and popularise this word without knowing the original meaning of it. I've first heard of it only 10 years ago and i belief it is a word learned from Singlish users.

"Walao Eh" is originated from a Hokkien word "my old folks" or 我老的.

Walao Eh~~~ Even my Hokkien speaking mother do not understand the meaning of 'Walao Eh'.

Coronavirus and Toilet Paper

Coronavirus might spread to the toilet paper especially in public toilet. From the fact that Malaysia has lesser infection case than Italy and Korea, i think the way how people use the toilet contribute to the spread of virus.

In Malaysia which majority of its citizens use water to clean their anus, it is more hygiene than using toilet paper. Even for those who use toilet paper, Malaysian WC allow people to throw thw toilet paper into the toilet bowl. In Korea, used toilet paper are thrown into a bin next to the WC. Just imagine an infected person wiped his/her ass and the used toilet paper is left dried in the bin until the next users come to smell it off.
